Overview
Business Development Manager – EVP at RPS | Master Resume Writer | Interview Head Coach | Advanced People Search Expert. This role is in manufacturing sales and business development for physical hardware solutions, with a focus on government and military markets.
Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr
Additional compensation:
Annual Bonus.
- Develop & implement sales education programs to increase understanding of public buying processes to drive incremental sales growth through division sales teams and channel partners. Programs include classroom, web-based, and field-level formats.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and similar public procurement regulations; apply this knowledge to proactive solicitation/acquisition strategies for construction and aftermarket projects with channel partners.
- Understand PACS requirements for Fed Gov EAC solutions.
- Support compliance certification requests for various domestic sourcing regulations.
- Demonstrate experience with the GSA Federal Supply Schedule and related MA/SA contract requirements.
- Develop relationships with key decision makers at federal, state, and local government levels; assist local teams in establishing and maintaining relationships with end users, purchasing influencers, engineers, consultants, contractors, and channel partners.
- Identify key government contractors and develop partnerships strategies with these contractors.
- Participate in government market reviews and webinars; assist in market analysis and competitive activity assessments; participate in key vertical market organizations.
- Support government market trade shows, events, and development of government market solution plans to meet evolving regulations.
- Operate within monthly budget and expense guidelines; perform special projects as required.
- Minimum of 3+ years’ current physical hardware manufacturing sales/business development experience.
- Must live in the Northwest area; willingness to travel 50-65%; remote work experience acceptable.
- Government/military compliance experience; strategic account management a plus.
- Prior experience in a senior sales or business development role.
- Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be located near a major airport in the Northeast or a bordering state.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; proven ability to build internal and external relationships over the long term.
- Problem-solving skills with fact-based decision making; experience in strategic account planning and implementation.
- Experience with manufacturing and supply chain a plus; experience in consultative sales concepts and techniques.
- Electromechanical/electronic access control product experience; basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
