This is a high-impact role managing **$10–20M in packaging spend**, leading supplier strategies, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure a reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable supply portfolio.## Why This Role Matters As Senior Category Buyer, you will influence packaging sourcing strategy across North America—leveraging scale, analytics, and supplier innovation to deliver measurable value. You’ll collaborate closely with regional procurement leadership and business stakeholders while guiding junior buyers toward shared category goals.##

What You’ll Do
* Define and execute regional sourcing strategies for packaging subcategories aligned with business objectives
* Manage and optimize a $10–20M spend portfolio across ~100–200 suppliers
* Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management to ensure value, compliance, and supply reliability
* Analyze spend data (cost, quality, delivery) to drive continuous improvement and savings
* Ensure transparency and governance across all contracts and procurement systems
* Mentor and coach Category Buyers, supporting team performance and capability growth
* Partner cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and stakeholders across North America
* Support ESG, HSE, and sustainability initiatives within the packaging supply base
* Contribute to procurement digitalization and process optimization initiatives## What You Bring
* Bachelor's degree required
* 3 + years’ experience in procurement in an international environment, preferably in automotive, electronics or chemicals
* 1 + year in a team leadership or mentorship role
* Procurement experience in an international environment (packaging strongly preferred; chemicals, automotive, or electronics a plus)
* Proven success negotiating contracts and running competitive sourcing events
* Experience managing suppliers and delivering category results
* Strong analytical mindset with spend and sourcing tools expertise
* Ability to influence stakeholders and build effective cross-functional relationships
* Leadership capability with experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
* Strategic thinking, ownership mindset, and sound decision-making skills

** Pay Transparency
** The salary range for this position is $87,800-$109,800. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
