The European Business Development Manager is responsible for establishing, growing, and market branding PBE international sales of body armor and related protective solutions across key European markets. Working in close partnership with the European Sales Director, this role will identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with government, military, law enforcement, and approved commercial channels in alignment with federal contractor requirements and company strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a European business development and sales plan to meet and exceed revenue, margin, and growth targets in the region.
- Work closely with the European Sales Director to prioritize markets, target accounts, tenders, and framework agreements across Europe.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities with ministries of defense, law enforcement agencies, distributors, OEM partners, and approved resellers.
- Lead or support capture efforts, including pre‑RFP positioning, bid/no‑bid analysis, and inputs into proposals and pricing in coordination with internal proposal, contracts, and compliance teams.
- Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities; provide accurate forecasts, account plans, and competitive intelligence to leadership.
- Represent the company at European trade shows, demonstrations, trials, and customer meetings; conduct product briefings and presentations as required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers, influencers, and end‑users to understand operational requirements and translate them into solutions.
- Coordinate closely with Headquarters teams (sales operations, contracts, finance, supply chain, engineering, and product management) to ensure that offerings and deliverables meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.
- Monitor and report on European market trends, competitor activity, regulatory developments, and procurement processes relevant to body armor and protective equipment.
- Ensure all international business development activities comply with U.S. and international laws and regulations, including export controls, ITAR/EAR, and federal contractor obligations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, International Relations, Engineering, Criminal Justice, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Significant experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within defense, law enforcement, protective equipment, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success establishing and growing sales in European markets, including experience with government and/or law‑enforcement procurement and tender processes.
- Understanding of federal contractor environment, including compliance, documentation, and coordination with internal contracts and export compliance functions.
- Strong relationship‑building, negotiation, and closing skills in complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles.
- Ability to work independently in a remote role, manage extensive travel, and effectively collaborate across time zones.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English required. Additional European language(s) strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel internationally to Europe at least 50% of the time, sometimes on short notice.

- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and cultural awareness when dealing with international customers and partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfort working in a highly regulated, safety‑ and compliance‑focused industry.

Location: Remote (U.S.
-based or Europe-based); no assigned office at Headquarters
