The Senior Manager, Corporate Development will support the evaluation and execution of the company’s inorganic growth initiatives, including mid-size M&A transactions, licensing agreements, divestitures, and strategic partnerships. This role plays a key analytical and operational part in transaction diligence, financial evaluation, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate will bring experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare corporate development, along with strong financial modeling capabilities and a solid scientific and analytical foundation to support asset evaluation.
This role is well-suited for a high-performing individual looking to deepen transaction experience and grow within a strategic development organization.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
* Support financial modeling and valuation efforts (DCF, IRR, NPV, accretion/dilution analysis) for potential acquisitions and strategic transactions.
* Assist in building business cases and investment summaries for internal decision-making.
* Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and benchmarking to inform strategic assessments.
* Review product portfolios, R&D pipelines, and development programs to assess technical viability and strategic fit.
* Partner with R&D, Commercial, Finance and other cross functional teams to evaluate asset risks and opportunities.
* Manage diligence work streams and track deliverables across Legal, Finance, Regulatory, Operations, and Commercial teams.
* Compile diligence findings and summarize key risks and value drivers.
* Support drafting of investment memos, executive presentations, and governance materials.
* Assist in negotiation preparation by providing scenario modeling and risk analysis.
* Help maintain deal tracking tools and pipeline reporting.
* Contribute to refinement of corporate development templates, processes, and reporting structures.
* Support post-deal tracking and early-stage integration coordination.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
* 4-8 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, consulting, transaction advisory, or strategic finance, preferably within pharmaceuticals or healthcare.
* Experience supporting M&A, licensing, or strategic transactions.
* Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
* Scientific literacy or background (Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotech, etc.) with ability to understand therapeutic and development data.
* Highly organized with strong project management capabilities.
* Comfortable working cross-functionally in a matrixed organization.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
