Job Description Summary
As a member of the Commercial Operations team, you will be an active in achieving the commitments, orders, sales, cash, operating profit, and margin targets for the applicable segment.
Job Description Success in this role looks like:Establish yourself as a subject matter expert by demonstrating contracting and negotiating expertise related to T&Cs together with being recognized as active participant in ITO process simplification and related lean efforts.
You will be an indispensable team member, with excellent writing and reading comprehensive skills paired with an analytical skill to evaluate T&Cs in the context of a service provider’s risk profile in the power generation or related industry.
Who You Are:You are someone who brings the ability to identify and articulate T&Cs concerns and either (i) mitigate them through customer negotiations, or (ii) explain them in a manner to ensure a fully informed business decision by Steam Power team members and leaders to either accept or reject non-standard T&Cs.
You have experience with Contract execution and/or contract negotiation and finalization in the power generation or related industry.
Provide the support to the sales and commercial teams during the ITO phase of a transaction for (i) proposal and contract document preparation, mark-up and management, (ii) T&Cs risk checklist interpretation and evaluations, (iii) commercial risk process questions, (iv) customer negotiations, and (v) reviewing and finalizing contract and purchase order documents.
Provide guidance and recommendations to the transaction’s deal team members and regional leadership regarding contractual and commercial implications of proposed and final commercial T&Cs strategies and decisions.
Coordinate, manage, and maintain a library of master and framework agreement records in (NEX) and a repository of relevant and linked documents (including amendments, risk checklists, and summaries) in Box’s cloud content management and file sharing service.
Disseminate relevant contract documents and templates within the organization as needed.
Work closely with regional Legal team members to support deal strategy development, T&Cs negotiations with customers, legal document templates development, and T&Cs training and rollout.
Actively identify and participate in process improvement and simplification efforts related to both the Contract Manager role and the overall ITO and Policy 5.0 process.
Engage, solicit, and effectively incorporate inputs from required functional subject matter experts into proposal, contract, and purchase order documents.
Work as a key member of the region ITO team to negotiate and execute compliant and complete contracts that support the region’s orders, sales, cash, operating profit, and margin targets.
Coach. Mentor, and train both new and experienced commercial and sales manager on T&Cs and other relevant contracting related business topics, processes, and tools.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, business, law, technical (or equivalent) from an accredited college
Minimum 5 years of contract analysis, Sales/Commercial Operations terms and conditions experience, and/or contract execution experience
Travel up to 15%
Qualifications:
Comprehensive understanding of both simple and complex commercial contracts
The ability to formulate persuasive and effective arguments, both verbally and in writing, that advance GE’s interests and needs during negotiations with customers
Ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels of both both Buyer and GE’s organization
Ability to analyze problems and make recommendations and decisions responsive to both changing business priorities and transactional deadlines
Ability to occasionally travel to customer sites within the Americas region when needed to support negotiations
Experience in power generation or related industrial or manufacturing industry.
Strong writing and reading comprehension skills
