Data Analyst
Position Summary
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will work with protected data extracted from organizational systems. The analysis of this data will be shared with multiple internal stakeholders. Results of the analysis will be utilized in the execution of strategic decision‑making across the organization. The BI Analyst will provide insight into current trends and proactively investigate opportunities that support the corporate mission.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Research potential opportunities and insights for internal stakeholders.
- Update and distribute recurring dashboards, reports, and member lists to internal customers.
- Retrieve, prepare, and upload internal data to external vendor platforms.
- Provide ad‑hoc reporting, dashboards and status updates to internal customers based on internal ticketing system.
- Present results of data analysis to credit union management for consideration when making business decisions.
- Look for any opportunities to automate, streamline, or simplify existing processes.
- Look for additional opportunities to leverage analytics across all business functions.
- Advocate and demonstrate company brand.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 4‑year college degree in Business, Math, Statistics, or Information Technology or equivalent combination of education, skills, and professional experience.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a business analyst or related field (banking or finance preferred).
- Proficient with MS Excel’s advanced functionalities, including complex formulas.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau).
- Experience working with large databases and query writing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to reconcile and validate data, think critically, and look for solutions.
- Takes initiative to proactively add value to the member and credit union.
- Positive and optimistic.
- Acts with integrity and adheres to ethical standards in all interactions.
- Acceptable background check; credit, criminal and insurance.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the employee to work indoors in a typical office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations, and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 1–25 pounds. Requires good hand‑eye coordination, arm hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information.
The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with arms, talk, and hear.
