Job Summary
As a Senior Product Manager, you are responsible for defining and driving the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for a product area s role owns the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, from identifying and validating market opportunities through delivery, adoption, and ongoing product evolution. Your work will include shaping product direction, aligning product investments to company goals, and ensuring product decisions are grounded in customer needs, market insight, and data.
You will collaborate closely with engineering, UX, marketing, sales, client success, and implementation teams to translate strategy into high‑impact execution. The Senior Product Manager is expected to operate with a high degree of ownership, influence across the organization, and accountability for both strategic direction and measurable outcomes.
- Own the product lifecycle from market and customer research through product definition, roadmap planning, delivery, and go‑to‑market execution.
- Define and evolve the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for a product area, connecting long‑term direction with near‑term planning to meet customer needs and business objectives.
- Balance immediate client needs with long‑term product evolution, scalability, and differentiation when making prioritization and roadmap decisions.
- Develop deep familiarity with Neumo’s market, clients, partners, and end users through ongoing research, customer feedback, data analysis, and direct engagement.
- Serve as the primary product lead across engineering, UX, sales, marketing, client success, and implementations, collaborating to resolve competing priorities and move the product forward.
- Lead, mentor, and develop direct‑report product managers, product owners, or business analysts, while tracking product outcomes and using data to refine strategy and roadmap decisions.
- Define and communicate product requirements by writing clear initiatives, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria; manage the backlog — including support issues and defects — in close partnership with engineering, architecture, and UX across planning and delivery ceremonies, when applicable.
- Partner with UX on user research, prototype validation, and early concept testing to ensure solutions address real customer problems.
- Act as a product evangelist, clearly communicating the product’s value, progress, and future direction to internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years experience in product management (B2B or B2G software experience preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in building business cases, understanding cost and pricing structures a plus.
- Experience using AI‑powered productivity and analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Rovo, or similar) to support research, documentation, and day‑to‑day product work is a must.
- Experience in tax administration and state and local government highly preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to develop deep customer empathy and articulate customer problems
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to explain complex information in a simple and accurate manner
- Ability to identify where AI can be applied to improve team productivity, product workflows, or the product itself, and to evaluate AI tool output with appropriate judgment

- Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional teams and working collaboratively with stakeholders

- Experience using tools like JIRA, Figma, and Microsoft 365 Suite
- Understanding with technical solutions and components (APIs, Middleware, Services, SQL)
- Willingness to travel up to 40%
