The roleWe are seeking a Business Development Manager who is passionate about serving customers and skilled at building new business opportunities.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping educators use technology to create more time for what matters most - their students.
Responsibilities- Increase customer base in new states and markets
- Implement product development requirements based on customer needs, feedback and competitive landscape
- Manage the full development cycle, including RFP responses and contract onboarding
- Regularly meets with clients/potential clients to understand their needs and get feedback
- Engage senior district stakeholders and build trusted relationships
- Maintain accurate pipeline management through CRM systems
- Always acts with integrity and professionalism
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Passion for innovation and driving organizational growth
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Successful track record of growing customer bases
- Experience using CRM systems to manage relationships, pipelines and drive growth
- Must be comfortable with frequent multi-state travel
- Must be an existing resident of Minnesota or South Dakota
- Proven success in business development, preferably within K-12 or edtech environments. Skilled at building trust with district leaders and guiding collaborative purchasing decisions
- Experience working in special education is a plus!
We’re looking for a confident, strategic professional who knows how to drive results without relying on high-pressure tactics. The ideal candidate is relationship-oriented, consultative in approach, and comfortable communicating within K-12 school districts.
You build trust quickly, listen carefully, and position solutions thoughtfully. You’re proactive and goal-driven, but you understand that in education, partnership and credibility matter more than urgency. You take ownership of your pipeline, follow through consistently, and represent the company with professionalism and integrity.
What you’ll receive- Salary range: $85,000–$100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
