At Black Angus Steakhouse, we’ve built our reputation on quality, consistency, and exceptional guest experiences. We’re looking for a strategic, detail‑oriented Product Buyer to play a key role in supporting that mission across our restaurant locations.
In this role, you’ll be at the center of our supply chain, partnering with vendors and internal teams to ensure the products behind every plate and every service touchpoint meet our brand standards. You will build strong supplier relationships, analyzing trends, and make smart purchasing decisions that directly impact the business.
What You’ll DoAs a Product Buyer, you’ll combine strategy, collaboration, and hands‑on execution to support our operations:
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies for food, beverage, packaging, equipment, and operational supplies that support quality, consistency, and cost efficiency.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers, regularly assessing performance and reliability.
- Monitor market trends and commodity pricing to proactively manage cost fluctuations.
- Collaborate closely with culinary, operations, and finance teams to align purchasing decisions with profitability and operational goals.
- Ensure all products and suppliers meet food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze purchasing data and prepare reports that highlight cost savings, efficiencies, and vendor performance.
- Support new restaurant openings through vendor onboarding and thoughtful procurement planning.
- Food cost variance vs. budget.
- Vendor performance and compliance scores.
- Annual contract savings achieved.
- Inventory turnover ratios.
- On‑time supplier delivery rates.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Experience in the red meat industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of food sourcing, distribution logistics, and inventory control systems.
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Remote position; must be able to travel to Burbank, CA for monthly in‑person meetings
