Business Insight Intern (80‑100%)

We are looking for a Business Insight Intern to join our Team for a 12‑month internship. This internship is ideal for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands‑on experience and build strong foundations in a fast‑paced, collaborative and digitally driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

To strengthen our Strategy & Insights department at our administrative headquarters in Crissier / Lausanne, we are looking for a Business Insight Intern (80‑100%) for a duration of 12 months, starting on April 1, 2026, or as agreed. Under the supervision of your internship supervisor, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation, monitoring, and analysis of weekly and monthly reports on sales, product mix, and promotions
  • Updating and preparing PowerPoint presentations for the monthly performance review presented to the Executive Committee
  • Ad hoc analyses on our BI platform
  • Monitoring KPIs for the McDonald’s app and conducting ad hoc analyses as required
  • Creation, review, management, and regular updating of the Item database
  • Monitoring competitors’ developments, including their promotional activities and the growth of their restaurant networks
Profile

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, digitally curious and comfortable taking ownership.

  • You are studying economy and management or have completed your studies in this field
  • Reliable, diligent, and able to multitask while remaining well organized, you can prioritize your work according to different deadlines and coordinate your tasks with those of your team.
  • Able to take responsibility and work independently, you are flexible and proactive.
  • You have a strong analytical mindset and are comfortable working with numbers. You have an excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint and are eager to further develop your skills with these tools.
  • You have very good knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written;
    German is an asset.
  • Recognized as a serious individual, you are naturally curious and open‑minded, enjoy helping others, and like working as part of a team.
  • You are not afraid of challenges and appreciate dynamic work environments.
