Salary: $90k base salary + variable compensation equal to 2% of collected sales
Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented National Account Specialist to build and grow relationships with National Accounts. This integral role involves serving as the primary point of contact for National Accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and program consistency while supporting the sales team's strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and interpersonal skills to effectively manage complex accounts and drive business growth.
PurposeThe National Account Specialist is responsible for acquiring and launching new National Accounts as well as ongoing management of their individual unique program. The NAS builds and manages relationships with our company's largest, most significant, and high-value client accounts on a national scale, handling complex, multi-location partnerships, and serves as the primary strategic link between the organization and its top-tier customers.
Key duties include negotiating contracts, analyzing market trends, ensuring customer satisfaction and program growth/compliance, contract renewals, tracking spend and rebates, and working with marketing and product development to align client needs with company offerings.
- Relationship Management:
Acquire (through cold calling) and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, decision makers, and stakeholders at a national level. - Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute comprehensive annual business plans for accounts to drive top-line revenue and meet profitability and growth targets. - Contract Negotiation:
Lead high-stakes negotiations for new contracts, renewals, and pricing strategies to maximize returns while ensuring client satisfaction. - Internal
Collaboration:
Act as the "voice of the customer" internally, coordinating with sales, marketing, product development, and operations to deliver tailored solutions. - Data Analysis:
Track accounts and report on performance metrics using CRM systems, analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities. Prepare reports and presentations for management and clients. - Account Operations:
Oversee all aspects of account operation, including successful integrations, meeting SLA’s, processing rebates, performing contract renewals and price changes, maintaining catalogs, and working with field sales. - Strategy Implementation:
Assist in the development and execution of National Account plans and strategies designed for mutual growth. - Cross-functional Collaboration:
Coordinate with internal teams, including sales, bid analysts, marketing, operations, and product development, to ensure seamless service delivery and meet customer needs.
- 5 years of successful National Account experience consistently exceeding quota, with a proven track record in prospecting and outbound sales.
- Must have outbound prospecting and sales-closure experience.
- Strong background working with GPO’s and Cooperative Groups.
- Strong understanding of integration (especially, Punchout, Static Catalogs).
- History in Implementation Project Management and account rollouts (Punchout, Static Catalogs, EDI, etc.).
- This is a pure hunter role, 100% acquisition, no book of business.
- Strong proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong data mining, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with performing Business Reviews.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
