Position: Contract Furniture Account Manager & Product Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented

Account Manager / Product Specialist to support our contract furniture sales and operations process. This role is responsible for managing order entry, purchase order creation, manufacturer communication, order tracking, and product/specification support from quote through delivery.

The ideal candidate has experience in the contract furniture industry, strong Excel skills, and working knowledge of furniture ordering systems, SIF files, manufacturer portals, and the full order-management lifecycle.

This is a full-time role based in Bronxville, NY, with flexibility for some remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter customer orders accurately into the company’s contract furniture/order management system.
  • Review quotes, specifications, pricing, acknowledgments, and related order documentation for accuracy.
  • Work with SIF files and product specification data as part of the order-entry and procurement process.
  • Create purchase orders and submit them to furniture manufacturers and vendors.
  • Track open orders, acknowledgments, ship dates, backorders, lead times, and delivery status.
  • Communicate with manufacturers regarding order confirmations, product availability, pricing discrepancies, and shipping updates.
  • Maintain accurate order records, project files, and customer account information.
  • Coordinate internally with sales, project management, design, installation, and customer service teams.
  • Support account managers and sales representatives with product information, pricing, options, finishes, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Identify and resolve order issues, including incorrect specifications, missing information, delayed products, and vendor discrepancies.
  • Use Excel to organize, review, and manipulate order data, pricing, product lists, and project information.
  • Provide timely updates to internal teams and customers regarding order status and project milestones.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in the contract furniture, commercial interiors, office furniture, or furniture dealershipindustry.
  • Strong understanding of the furniture order process, including quoting, order entry, purchase orders, acknowledgments, shipping, and tracking.
  • Working knowledge of contract furniture systems and manufacturer ordering platforms.
  • Familiarity with

    SIF filesand furniture specification/order data.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including comfort working with spreadsheets, product lists, pricing, and order tracking files.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders, projects, and deadlines at once.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with manufacturers, customers, sales teams, and internal operations teams.
  • Comfortable following structured processes and checking work carefully before submission.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with systems such as Futur, Hedberg, E-Automate, Project Matrix, CET, CAP/Giza, Team Design, Net Suite, or similar contract furniture/order management tools.
  • Experience working with major contract furniture manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of commercial furniture product categories, finishes, specifications, and lead times.
  • Prior experience in a furniture dealership, commercial interiors firm, or manufacturer rep environment.
