Sr. Partnerships Manager, Legal Professionals
CoCounsel is the leading AI platform for legal professionals. Partnerships are a core part of that strategy, including the AI companies whose capabilities we integrate into CoCounsel and the consulting, advisory, and implementation partners who drive adoption at scale inside law firms.
We're hiring a Senior Partnerships Manager to own a portfolio of high-impact partners. You'll be the person responsible for whether these partnerships succeed: shaping the commercial structure, driving the integration roadmap or joint pursuit motion, building joint GTM with sales, and holding partners accountable to outcomes that matter to both sides.
This is a high visibility role, reporting directly to the VP of Legal Professionals Partnerships at Thomson Reuters. We're looking for someone who can think strategically about where AI is going, operate independently across a complex organization, and turn ambiguous partnerships into real commercial results.
Location: The successful candidates will ideally be based in New York and work in a hybrid environment, spending a minimum of 3 days per week in office. We are open to a remote work arrangement for the right candidate.
About the RoleIn this role as a Sr. Partnerships Manager, you will:
- Own the full lifecycle for a portfolio of high-impact partners, from strategy through launch through scale
- Set the joint vision and operating plan with each partner, including OKRs, integration or pursuit milestones, and revenue targets
- Work directly with CoCounsel product and engineering leaders to scope and prioritize integrations that customers will actually use
- Build the GTM playbook with sales, marketing, and enablement so partner solutions actually land in the field
- Negotiate and structure commercial terms with executive counterparts at partner companies
- Represent Thomson Reuters externally with partner CEOs, founders, and investors, and internally with our senior leadership
You may be a fit for the role of Sr. Partnerships Manager if your background includes:
- 8+ years in partnerships, alliances, BD, or strategy roles, ideally with time spent in tech or legal tech
- A real point of view on AI and where the legal tech market is heading
- Track record of building partnerships that produced measurable commercial outcomes, not just signed agreements
- Comfort operating independently in ambiguous environments and earning influence across product, sales, and executive stakeholders
- Strong commercial instincts and experience negotiating complex deals with C-level counterparts
- Experience driving either technical integrations between two SaaS products or joint GTM motions with services partners, and comfortable working closely with product, engineering, or sales leaders
- Sharp written and verbal communicator who can move easily between a partner CEO conversation, a product roadmap or pursuit review, and an internal exec update
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet partners and attend industry events
- Flexibility & Work‑Life Balance: Flex My Way is a set of supportive workplace policies designed to help manage personal and professional responsibilities, whether caring for family, giving back to the community, or finding time to refresh and reset. - Career Development and Growth: By fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development, we prepare our talent to tackle tomorrow’s challenges and deliver real‑world solutions. Our Grow My Way programming and skills‑first approach ensures you have the tools and knowledge to grow, lead, and thrive in an AI‑enabled future.
- Industry Competitive Benefits: We offer comprehensive benefit plans to include flexible vacation, two company‑wide Mental Health Days off, access to the Headspace app, retirement savings, tuition reimbursement, employee incentive programs, and resources for mental, physical, and financial well‑being.
- Culture: Globally recognized, award‑winning reputation for inclusion and belonging, flexibility,…
