What you will do:

The role of "Commodity Integration Specialist" affords exposure to Pratt & Whitney's business and the strategic supply chain supporting it. The motivated team player filling this position will serve as the liaison between strategic supply chain management and the product cost management, finance, program management, and engineering teams. Key deliverables include designing and producing unique analyses, solutions, reports, and presentations with minimal supervision.

Vast stores of data exist within P&W, and you’ll be empowered to mine those resources. Those with sufficient quantitative and analytical skills will have ample opportunities to showcase them to teammates and executive leadership, affording myriad avenues for career progression.

  • Mine from various databases using SQL or equivalent tools to facilitate data-driven answers to unique and recurring questions
  • Design and prototype automated solutions in Microsoft Access, Excel, or alternatives
  • Prepare reports for team members and follow-up to assess and manage effectiveness
  • Team with Strategic Sourcing Managers (SSMs) to identify and achieve initiatives that reduce cost, secure supply, and improve quality throughout the product life cycle
  • Partner with the Finance Team to forecast and track results against financial objectives
  • Collaborate with the Product Cost Management Team (PCMT) and Engineering to facilitate execution of the aforementioned projects
  • Interface with the Program Office, Materials, IT, and Finance to track and report on these projects
  • Build productive relationships with Program Managers to understand their plans and strategic objectives
  • Liaise with the Program Office, New Product Introduction (NPI), and SSMs to source new programs
  • Develop consolidated high-level plans for these initiatives. Monitor and report progress against these plans.
Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience in supply chain, business, operations or related field; or an advanced degree with 3 years of related experience
