This role sits within the Strategic Foresight team. It spans the company in terms of crafting a strategic viewpoint on Autodesk’s role in helping people imagine, design, and make a better world.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and communicate a strategic point of view on the future of architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and entertainment as input to Autodesk’s technical and business strategy
• Design and execute quantitative and qualitative research to inform Autodesk’s understanding of current technological, political, environmental, and socioeconomic trends
• Interpret insights from diverse reports and datasets to extract actionable strategic intelligence
• Influence strategic decision making in the form of workshops, presentations, compelling narratives, and deep one-on-one professional relationships with senior leaders
• Collaboratively author a variety of materials that communicate complex ideas in a clear and highly impactful way

Minimum Qualifications

• Masters, MBA or PhD degree, and 5 years of work experience in strategic foresight, future studies, data journalism, data analysis in the social sciences, or related field
• Working knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research tools and methodologies
• Outstanding interpersonal skills to build strong relationships throughout the organization
• Impactful, polished and adaptable communicator – written, visual and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion
• Strong work ethic and commitment to making a positive impact
• Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities of the software industry
