Role OverviewThe Clorox Company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Procurement Category Manager for Food Ingredients and Agricultural Products to join our Global Procurement team. In this strategic role you will lead global sourcing strategies for a $140M‒$170M raw material portfolio that fuels multiple brands within segments exceeding $3B in sales. As the category expert you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive supply continuity, value optimization, innovation, and sustainability by leveraging market intelligence and supplier relationships to inform sourcing and risk mitigation strategies.
Additional responsibilities include commodity hedging and forecasting, supplier negotiations, and leadership of cross‑functional sourcing initiatives to enable growth and resilience in a global marketplace.
- Lead, support, and drive procurement strategies for the Food Ingredients & Agricultural Products category across brands, focusing on cost, supply robustness, innovation, and sustainability.
- Translate business strategies into an aligned procurement category strategy and act as the category subject‑matter expert.
- Interact with internal senior management and external personnel at all organizational levels to coordinate activities, build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, manage systemic supplier issues, assess capabilities, and present risk.
- Design, execute, and implement procurement tools and techniques to deliver value for the organization.
- Identify and execute projects to improve value delivery across the spend portfolio.
- Lead strategic relationships with suppliers, offering insights on how to develop and leverage supplier capabilities to meet business needs.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities such as design‑to‑value, cost models, and process mapping.
- Monitor market dynamics, the supplier competitive landscape, standards, and pricing/costing strategy to understand opportunities and influence business direction.
- Act as liaison between R&D and Procurement, ensuring business needs are reflected in category strategies and executed as planned.
- Support actions required to address P2P issues, such as payments and invoices.
- 6+ years of experience in a global, matrixed environment sourcing direct materials (raw materials, packaging).
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; preferred fields include Business, Agribusiness, Economics/Agricultural Economics, Food Science, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or related areas.
- Experience operating in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience providing recommendations and updates to, and interacting with, senior leadership.
- Proficiency in sourcing/procurement tools and methodologies, including RFPs, cost models, negotiations, and contracts.
- Working knowledge of commodity hedging (preferably agricultural commodities).
- Demonstrated leadership driving positive results through teams in a challenging and fast‑paced environment.
- Commercial acumen and ability to deliver financial results through procurement tools.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, comfortable drawing conclusions with ambiguous or incomplete data.
- Initiative, self‑starter, and high performance standards for self and others.
- Collaboration and responsiveness; ability to incorporate diverse ideas into decision making.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Skill in supplier agreement negotiation.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel; experience with SAP preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.

Salary ranges are published in three zones:
Zone A ($106,700 – $204,900), Zone B ($97,800 – $187,900), and Zone C ($88,900 – $170,800) based on work location.
