role in summary
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Material Analyst, Warehouse Supervisor.
This role is onsite at our Cleveland, TN facility.
The purpose of this role is to provide leadership to our internal materials group so that the most efficient methods for material flow, process redesign, and improvement are realized. The position includes managing hourly group leaders and material handlers while working with production and engineering in accordance with Whirlpool's values and goals in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Your responsibilities will include- Solid understanding of lean concepts, material flow, quality, and productivity/efficiency projects
- Accountable for developing the most efficient flow of material through the facility
- Achieve safety, delivery, and cost goals
- Lead receiving in the purchase warehouse to ensure accurate and timely inbound raw material
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and accuracy
- Drive cross‑functional relationships to help achieve plant goals, communication, and teamwork
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of materials management, warehousing or distribution experience
- 1+ years of experience leading or supervising people
- 1+ years of SAP experience
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Manufacturing and supply chain concepts and parts flow
- Developing and using standards of work (SOPs)
- WCM knowledge: focus on logistics
- Use of Google tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms)
- Lean concepts or change management experience
