This is a hybrid position: work from home Monday and Friday; office in Smyrna, Georgia, Tuesday‑Thursday.
What You Will Do
We are seeking an E‑Commerce Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and profitability for The Ames Companies across major marketplaces.
Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day interactions with assigned e‑Commerce accounts such as Amazon, Wayfair, Beyond, and other marketplaces.
- Develop and implement digital strategies and consumer relationship plans to drive growth within existing and new e‑Commerce retail accounts.
- Interact with customer personnel to execute the customer category plan, building strong relationships at the Merchant/Buyer level and coordinating with VP/DMM and cross‑functional teams.
- Advocate externally for The Ames Companies and internally for the customer.
- Provide monthly sales forecasts and end‑to‑end supply planning; understand customer distribution networks and related metrics (Fill Rate, On‑Time, Vendor Lead Time, In‑Stocks).
- Analyze sales data from e‑Retailer portals and internal platforms to review performance, recommend assortment changes, and identify placement opportunities.
- Monitor competitors’ brands, products, and market share to understand shopper trends and opportunities.
- Leverage category and consumer insights to build customer‑centric recommendations for sales growth.
- Present information formally and informally to customer account teams and internal TAC stakeholders.
- Build relationships and navigate a matrixed organization.
Qualifications / Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in e‑Commerce, merchandising, buying, category management, or a related field.
- Experience in the consumer‑product goods industry preferred.
- Ability to analyze and assess organizational needs and provide solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present data in an organized manner to different levels of the organization.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Power
BI. - Enthusiastic, motivated, innovative, creative team player; able to work cross‑functionally.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, merchandising, e‑Commerce, or a related field.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
Environmental / Physical Requirements
- Position is primarily in an office environment; may require sitting for extended periods.
- May need to lift and carry loads up to 20 pounds.
- May be exposed to manufacturing and distribution operations and required to wear personal protective equipment.
