Remote work policy:
Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change based on managerial discretion and work performance.

Responsible for driving the procurement sourcing strategies, managing the bid process, and negotiating the purchase of materials, equipment, and services for medium to high dollar/complexity requirements.
This position supports the company’s strategic direction and assists with building an organization that will expertly execute procurement processes. Serves as a role model, technical expert, and coach for colleagues with less experience.
Essential Functions- Collaborate with colleagues to drive cross-functional teams through all stages of the sourcing process: supplier evaluation, supplier negotiation and contract implementation.
- Assist in identifying and implementing best practices in all procurement processes.
- Provide expertise and advice on strategic approaches to business partners and colleagues in support of adherence to all procurement policies and procedures and to ensure overall compliance.
- Seek to improve capabilities of the supply base and/or key business processes; implement value-added best practices in sourcing and contract management.
- Promote strategic and operational functions such as volume aggregation / standardization and supplier base optimization.
- Conduct Requests for Proposal (RFPs), negotiate, and execute high complexity contracts; and support internal business partners and suppliers on assigned procurement activities.
- Coordinate with end users and suppliers to provide high-level oversight and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Lead complex sourcing projects effectively, utilizing novel and strategic approaches to author, negotiate, and execute agreements that mitigate risk and drive value for the company.
- Proactively seek opportunities to obtain negotiated and cost savings through strategic negotiations and engaging in discussions with suppliers on value-added approaches.
- Have a full understanding of contracting practices and General Terms and Conditions (GTC).
- Establish and monitor contract and supplier performance including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for medium complexity categories; and review with business groups and use the data to improve future performance and strategy development.
- Produce and analyze Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) scorecards.
- Routinely evaluate supplier agreements for significant contributions to supply chain sustainability.
- Complete thorough market analysis and work with the Supplier Engagement Specialist to identify viable businesses for all sourcing opportunities.
- Update, process, and accurately approve procurement records as directed, identify issues with the data and work with business partners to develop their understanding.
