Licensing Team Lead
Location:
United States (Remote)
- Licensing Operations & Compliance:
Oversee internal agent renewals, appointments, terminations, and MGA renewals. Maintain and update DRLP assignments and monitor regulatory changes. Ensure compliance with DOI regulations, NIPR processes, and internal standards. Review and approve escalated filings and exception cases. Manage agency service items (changes, terminations, email updates) and ensure data accuracy. Assist internal agents with CE requirements and renewal needs. Conduct routine audits to maintain accurate licensing records. - Team Leadership:
Supervise, coach, and support licensing specialists. Train team members on licensing workflows, regulatory requirements, and DRLP guidelines. Manage workload distribution and foster a collaborative, solutions‑focused environment. - Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline licensing procedures. Partner with Compliance, Legal, HR, and leadership to support onboarding and ongoing producer management. Support enhancements to licensing systems and NIPR integrations. - Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records, dashboards, and documentation. Prepare reports on licensing status and risk areas for leadership review. Assist with audits, reviews, and remediation efforts.

- Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree, or 4 years of experience in lieu of 2+ years of insurance licensing experience; supervisory experience preferred. - Strong understanding of DRLP requirements, DOI regulations, and NIPR processes.
- Experience in a multi-state insurance environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize, adapt quickly, and meet deadlines.
- Preferred:
Prior licensing leadership experience. Familiarity with licensing platforms (Sircon, NIPR, Agent Sync, Salesforce, Producer Flow). Experience partnering with Compliance and Legal teams.
Soft skills:
supportive, collaborative leadership style; ability to simplify complex regulatory information; calm, solutions-oriented approach during escalations.

Pay Range: $54,000 - $75,600 annually.
