Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Business Management Office (“BMO”) within the Office of the CIO at Huntington Bank. The BMO supports various technology verticals, and the role will further develop processes, reporting, and automation to scale and support all technology areas. The Senior Business Analyst will provide leadership and delivery of existing and routine deliverables while also driving efficiency gains.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage business analysis efforts for Technology, specifically expense management and budgeting.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Finance and Technology teams) to review new budget and approval to spend requests, ensuring alignment to existing financials; offer guidance and best practices with strong executive presence.
- Facilitate meetings, presentations, and updates for senior management and other key stakeholders.
- Manage and update budget items throughout the year; analyze and understand changes and impacts based on movement in the budget.
- Assist BMO team lead(s) by providing support and oversight to junior team members.
- Perform data queries, validation, and troubleshooting of reporting anomalies.
- Act as the point of contact for the BMO, ensuring excellent customer service to internal stakeholders while balancing efficiency.
- Manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment, re‑prioritizing work based on underlying risks.
- Create new business processes and continuously improve existing processes, reports, and methodologies to increase efficiency and quality of deliverables.
- Communicate key messages hidden in data to technology leaders.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 4 to 8 years of related experience.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written, to present complex technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong data analysis experience and knowledge of expense management and budgeting processes.
- Ability to lead and coach team members.
- Critical thinker with strong organizational skills and detail orientation, focused on quality and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple efforts concurrently while ensuring high‑quality, on‑time delivery.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, manage competing priorities, and work independently.
- Project planning and management experience; manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge and/or experience in waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Experience as a Business Analyst performing elicitation, documentation of functional requirements and use cases, producing process flows using Visio.
- Technical skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience facilitating group sessions to gather requirements with ability to ask relevant questions and drill into details.
- Experience tracking and driving deliverables to completion.
- Preferred: local to Columbus, OH or Dallas, TX.
Preferably local to Columbus, OH or Dallas, TX. The role is an office position with a flexible work arrangement, allowing both in‑office and remote work as needed.
Exempt StatusExempt from overtime pay.
