Position Purpose

The Digital Product Manager for the company is responsible for leading the strategic development and delivery of advanced digital sales and estimation tools tailored to enhance workflows for our B2B eCommerce platform. This pivotal role demands extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to define a comprehensive product roadmap, align business objectives with user needs, and ensure the successful execution of product releases.

By employing a data-informed and customer-centric approach, the Product Manager will drive innovation, improve product adoption, and deliver exceptional value to our business customers in the roofing sector, leveraging a deep understanding of industry trends and agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    Define and execute a comprehensive product roadmap for B2B eCommerce platforms, aligning strategic objectives with customer needs and technical viability. Drive the roadmap's success by integrating stakeholder feedback and industry trends into the planning process to ensure continuous product evolution.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    Act as the central communication hub between stakeholders, subject matter experts, and development teams to facilitate well-informed decision-making. Ensure alignment and clarity on product objectives and deliverables, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and solution-oriented strategies.

  • User-Centric Product Development:
    Develop detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that reflect customer insights and feedback. Lead agile sprint processes to deliver digital features and functionalities effectively, ensuring that product releases meet high-quality standards and are delivered within defined timelines.

  • Innovation and Improvement:
    Continuously assess market trends, customer behavior, and feedback to identify and prioritize enhancement opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to drive product improvements that increase value propositions and align them with the specific needs of roofing contractors.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:
    Present product updates, roadmap plans, and performance metrics to senior leadership and key stakeholders effectively. Foster transparency and accountability by maintaining regular communication and utilizing data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.

  • Technical Integration and

    Risk Management:

    Coordinate with technical teams to facilitate seamless integrations with ERP systems and third-party applications. Identify and mitigate potential risks related to technical dependencies and platform scalability to ensure robust product functionality.

  • Product Adoption and Support:
    Partner with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to increase product adoption and customer satisfaction. Leverage customer feedback and usage data to implement strategies that enhance user engagement and promote a positive product journey.

  • Agile Execution and Continuous Improvement:
    Lead agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives, focusing on delivering incremental value and enhancing team performance. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by integrating agile best practices and facilitating knowledge sharing across teams.

Direct Manager Direct Reports
  • In this role, the Digital Product Manager will report directly to Director, Digital Product. This position does not have any direct reports. The Digital Product Manager will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including development, UX/UI design, QA, customer support, sales, marketing, and field operations, to ensure successful digital product execution and strategic alignment.

Travel Requirements
  • The Digital Product Manager is required to undertake travel, approximately 10-20% of the time, to engage with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and industry events in order to advance product development goals and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Physical Requirements
  • The Digital Product Manager position primarily involves standard office-based activities. Candidates should be prepared to engage in tasks that include but are not limited to: prolonged periods of sitting and standing, the ability to use standard office equipment such as computers and telephones, and effective verbal and written communication to interact with diverse teams. This role requires visual acuity to read and analyze data as well as the ability to move within an office environment.
