Health Economist

Responsibilities

+ Lead HEOR projects independently from study design through execution and delivery

+ Develop and implement health economic models, including:

+ Cost-effectiveness models

+ Cost-utility models

+ Budget impact models

+ Conduct advanced statistical analyses, including:

+ Longitudinal and cross-sectional modeling

+ Survival analysis

+ Meta-analysis and mixed treatment comparisons

+ Build and execute Markov (state-transition) models

+ Analyze complex real-world datasets (e.g., EMR, claims data)

+ Partner with clinicians, researchers, and internal stakeholders to translate business and clinical needs into analytical strategies

+ Communicate findings through:

+ Publications

+ Abstracts

+ Presentations

+ Contribute to scientific communications, study protocols, and grant submissions

+ Stay current with evolving HEOR methodologies, tools, and best practices

Required Qualifications

+ MUST HAVE PhD in Economics, Public Health, Health Policy, Statistics, or a related field

+ MUST HAVE 3+ years of experience in health economics, health services research, epidemiology, or HEOR

+ MUST HAVE experience building Markov models

+ Strong expertise in longitudinal and cross-sectional statistical modeling

+ Hands-on experience working with real-world data (claims, EMR, etc.)

+ Solid understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, including Medicare and Medicaid

+ Proficiency in statistical programming (e.g., SAS, SPSS; R is a plus)

+ Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications

+ Excellent scientific writing and communication skills

+ Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration experience

+ Highly organized with strong project management capabilities

+ Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power Point

+ Occasional team-building events (travel expenses covered)

The pay range for this position is $91000.00 - $163000.00/yr.
