* Works closely with business leaders and Colleagues to gain an in-depth understanding of the business strategy, Customers, processes, systems, products and services, challenges and the context in which the business operates in. Acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technical delivery team, ensuring that business and technical requirements are written in sufficient detail for the development and testing teams and communicated in a clear manner to the business stakeholders.
Understands, communicates, and negotiates the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
* Accountable for the successful delivery of business analysis output and documentation on assigned projects, usually large-sized with high complexity and /or high business risk. This includes understanding the true business and Customer needs, eliciting business and technical requirements, and educating and challenging the business stakeholders to ensure solution options that align with organization's strategic goals. Aids in solution evaluation, selection, and implementation as appropriate
* Drives change through questioning current assumptions and processes, challenging business stakeholders and project teams to anticipate Customer’s future needs, and by employing change management tools and techniques.
** Skills & Requirements
*** Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university - business, information technology, industrial engineering, mathematics, finance, accounting, or related area of study preferred
* 7 Years needed to be job specific with specific emphasis in system analysis
* Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation and conflict management
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills including thinking creatively, systematically and visually in order to effectively analyze issues and describe solutions.
* Strong aptitude for learning new systems and understanding capabilities and configuration
* Strong communication verbally, nonverbally and in written form to ensure clear understanding of concepts, needs and solutions, particularly in difficult or stressful situations.
* Strong ability to elicit, analyze, communicate, verify, and validate requirements.
* Strong facilitation of communication associated with business problems and opportunities.
* Strong understanding of functional design methods and implementation of both technical and non-technical solutions.
* Strong requirements specifications writing skills in both technical and user-friendly language.
* Strong business process mapping skills
* Experienced with System Development Life Cycles
* Strong teaching skills to educate colleagues on new solutions to ensure successful change.
* Strong analysis of data relationships, system integration considerations and development platforms
* Strong listening skills, specifically in a team environment.
* Advanced knowledge of technology solutions as well as organizational structure and strategic direction.
* Advanced knowledge in execution and understanding of Business Analysis best practices as defined in the most recent version of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.
* Advanced knowledge of the various project management methodologies.
* Strong knowledge of technology solutions as well as organizational structure and strategic direction.
* Self motivated and works well with little to no supervision.
* Ability to motivate and guide less experienced Business Analyst
* Professional Business Analysis designation from an accredited body strongly preferred (e.g., IIBA CBAP, PMI PBA, IIBA CDBA, etc.)
* Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodology experience a plus.
* Certified PROSCI Change Management Practitioner
* Insurance industry coursework or designations, strongly preferred.#AFC
