Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced P&C Product Business Analyst to join our Product Marketing team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals and gain in-depth knowledge of products sold through Auto and Recreational Product Dealers across Canada. As a Product and Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our Risk Analysis reporting for Sales and Finance, including loss‑ratio calculations and competitive rate analysis.
You will be involved in product development activities and updates to our in‑house sales software, and you will leverage your analytical skills to drive data‑centered business strategies. In collaboration with the Sales teams, you will contribute to the creation of innovative products and data‑driven solutions aimed at enhancing Sales and Dealer performance, supporting the company’s growth objectives, improving customer experience, and reinforcing the organizational foundation of iA Financial Group.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual valuation files.
- Create rate files and pricing manuals.
- Evaluate profitability of insurance and warranty products.
- Conduct competitive product and rate reviews; make product recommendations.
- Review regulatory reporting.
- Assist with system configuration and maintenance, including testing and deployment of program changes.
- Collaborate with Product Actuary, Risk Analyst, and Marketing teams.
- Communicate effectively with Actuarial, Dealer Support, Sales, and IT teams to understand processes and business rules.
- Suggest and support the development of new products and analytical tools to target different dealer groups.
- Ensure pricing and reporting accuracy in risk assessment decisions.
- Maintain documentation on rating decisions and approvals.
- Make recommendations to improve reporting and automation processes.
- Prioritize sector needs and consider system constraints.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance or related field.
- Vehicle industry experience.
- Proven experience in product and business analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel and Access for data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Strong project‑management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of insurance or warranty products.
- Accounting or actuarial background.
- Insurance license.

CompensationThe typical hiring range for this position is from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, with base pay based on location and varying by skills, experience, and internal equity. All permanent employees are also entitled to an annual bonus.
