Job description

Strategic Buyer with responsibility for strategic procurement in indirect goods groups (e.g., IT, Marketing, Business Services, Travel). Shape and implement the purchasing strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end procurement processes: requirement gathering to contract execution.
  • Lead price and contract negotiations with existing and new suppliers to ensure cost and quality optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement project-based procurement strategies.
  • Analyze procurement markets, identify savings opportunities and develop innovative sourcing solutions.
  • Maintain efficient and transparent procurement processes, including master data maintenance and continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
  • Completed economic or comparable commercial education, ideally with further training in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Multiple years of experience in strategic procurement, preferably in indirect procurement.
  • Strong presence, assertiveness, and excellent negotiation skills.
  • High initiative and quick grasp of new concepts.
  • Structured, analytical working style and willingness to question and optimise existing processes.
  • Proficient use of common IT tools, especially MS Office (Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English.
