Role Description

This is a full-time, Business Development Manager role based in West Chicago, IL, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Business Development Manager will identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with e-commerce brands that can benefit from Zipscale’s fulfillment and marketing services. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting through outbound outreach, responding to inbound leads, conducting discovery calls, and preparing tailored proposals and pricing.

The role involves managing the sales pipeline in a CRM system, coordinating with operations and marketing teams to design client solutions, and presenting Zipscale’s value proposition to decision-makers. The Business Development Manager will also negotiate contracts, support smooth handoffs to account management, track performance against targets, and provide feedback on market trends and customer needs.

Qualifications
  • Business development, sales, or account management experience in logistics, e-commerce, or related B2B services.
  • Demonstrated skills in lead generation, prospecting, and pipeline management using CRM tools.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities with comfort speaking to senior decision-makers.
  • Analytical skills to interpret client requirements, pricing structures, and performance data to develop tailored solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple opportunities at once.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce operations, order fulfillment, and shipping cost optimization is highly beneficial.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and a strong customer-focused mindset.
