The Recreation and Activities Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily directives of our recreation department. This role will work towards using recreation and activities to help the guests create memories with their families. It will be focused on fantastic customer service and providing a fun-filled environment for all ages. This is a SEASONAL
, full-time position and reports to the Assistant General Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Administrative Duties
    • Assists with research and identifying crafts, activities, and events.
    • Assists with planning themed weekly and daily activities.
    • Assists with ordering and maintaining inventory of recreation supplies and equipment.
    • Reviews guest feedback with Guest Experience Manager and works to improve the recreation program.
    • Completes required reports on time.
    • Schedules staff, monitors payroll, and maintains compliance with a payroll budget.
    • Conducts daily stand up meetings with recreation staff to prioritize the day and facilitates feedback.
    • Participates in recruitment and selection of talent for the recreation and activities department.
    • Participates in development and execution of training programs for new hires and ongoing staff training.
  • Daily Duties
    • Supervises and motivates a team of recreation staff.
    • Provides coaching around performance and entertainment/customer engagement skills.
    • Assists with personnel matters, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, disciplinary action, and training.
    • Maintains an accurate event/activity schedule by updating the calendar and Campers App.
    • Brings characters to life by becoming a character as needed and engaging staff to be enthusiastic ambassadors of the brand.
    • Leads daily recreational activities and identifies opportunities for new experiences to expand presence and impact.
    • Evaluates guest flow and recommends improvements to operating hours.
    • Is visible around the resort and engages with guests.
    • Ensures activities and events start on time.
    • Creates a fun environment for staff and guests.
    • Captures photos of activities and events, uploading to Google Drive on time.
    • Maintains cleanliness of recreational facilities and equipment.
    • Decorates the park to fit the theme of the week or weekend.
    • Monitors cash drawers and ensures compliance with cash handling procedures and charge-to-site invoices are paid.
  • Other Essential Duties
    • Collaborates with park and home office departments.
    • Coordinates and oversees various projects from start to finish.
    • Responds to guest inquiries using the company’s service recovery guidelines.
    • Utilizes and learns the reservation system for daily planning.
    • Participates in additional projects and activities as assigned.
Education/Training/Experience
  • Experience in organizing and executing activities or events required.
  • Customer service, hospitality, or leadership experience preferred.

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong organizational, motivational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Works with minimal supervision.
  • Maintains a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management.
Essential Physical Demands
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position.
  • Regularly moves throughout the park.
  • Continuously climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, bends, crouches, and crawls.
  • Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, lift, etc.
