Role Overview
As an Item Coding Analyst, you will be taking ownership of a set of categories and be responsible for the quality of deliverables that are sent to our clients.
- Team context: SO/MP Coding Team within production.
- Primary focus:
Responsible for coding and maintaining product attribution for a set of categories. - Maintaining those categories by actioning Internal & External feedback.
- Research category requirements and challenge unclear rules for syndicated and custom attributes.
- Perform quality checks to ensure quality and consistency of deliverables.
- Proactively manage expectations and communication both internal and external.
- Seek improvement in your work and work processes.
- Independently drive your personal KPIs to enable us to work more efficiently and have higher client satisfaction.
- Key objective:
To deliver accurate data readings and provide clients with meaningful insights into their products by consistently maintaining high‑quality outputs across wholesaler and retailer data sources.
- Understanding brands and manufacturers in the UK
- Knowledge of UK groceries market and packaging info
- Attention to detail

- Ability to multi‑task
- Intermediate Excel skills
This role sits within the Sales Out/Marketplace Team and is responsible for delivering accurate, high‑quality data insights to our clients. The primary objective is to ensure data is right first time, supporting both client decision‑making and the wider business. Success in this role requires a proactive, driven individual with strong attention to detail, who can manage fast‑paced, short‑turnaround deadlines while consistently maintaining a high standard of quality.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure 100% of items from your categories are coded every week accurately.
- Manage deadlines and priorities.
- Action internal and external feedback within the team’s SLA’s.
- Perform data quality tasks weekly.
- Proactively update the Daily Management System trackers daily.
- No coding experience required.
- Intermediate Excel Skills, pivot tables, formulas.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Be accurate.
