Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Director of Basketball Operations for Women’s Basketball. The candidate will be responsible for all managerial efforts in relation to practice and game preparations and for all team travel – airline, bus, hotel, food reservations; practice times and travel itineraries. Additionally, organize and participate in campus and community service projects; assist in marketing plans and maintain social media sites.
In-person, on-campus, non-remote position.
Responsibilities- Program Operations:
Responsible for all managerial efforts in regard to the operation of the program: team travel, academics, team calendar, alumni relations, community relations, marketing and mentor program. - Travel:
Responsible for all team travel – airline, bus, hotel, food reservations; practice times and travel itineraries. - Marketing and Mentor Plans: assist in marketing and mentor program for women’s basketball student-athletes. Liaison for Name Image Likeness to Compliance.
- Organize and participate in camp and community service projects.
- Responsible for adhering to policies and procedures governing the Department of Athletics and the University and any applicable rules and regulations associated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) or any other conference or organization with which the University is or becomes associated with which affects University Athletics.
- Other duties as assigned.
- College basketball coaching, recruiting, administrative, and/or playing experience.
- A valid driver’s license in your state of residence and no serious violations (Type
A) within the past five (5) years and no more than three (3) moving violations (Type
B) in the past three (3) years. University Policy found here:
Monmouth University Vehicle Use Policy. - Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must be able to utilize a variety of computer software programs in order to successfully complete assigned tasks.
- Must have an understanding of the University's concern for academics as well as athletic excellence.
- Must be able to work irregular hours including nights and weekends.
- Must be able to travel as needed.
- Knowledge of the Synergy Sports Tech system, Photoshop and Sports Code.
