First Home Mortgage is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, mid-level Product Development Specialist to join our Middle River, MD corporate headquarters
.
This is a full-time, remote position and an excellent opportunity for a Product Development Specialist. In this role, you’ll serve as the go-to expert on agency and investor guidelines, supporting both production and corporate teams while helping shape and improve our product offerings.
Salary Range: $72-84K.
Position Responsibilities- Develop, update, and maintain product guidelines, comparison grids, and related forms across internal platforms (intranet, LOS, pricing systems, and All Regs)
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Agency and Non-Agency product guidelines
- Communicate product updates and changes clearly and promptly to relevant teams
- Act as a liaison between internal departments and investors/agencies for guideline clarifications, exception requests, and non-delegated underwriting scenarios
- Research and evaluate new investor products; identify opportunities that support production growth
- Respond to guideline questions from branch and corporate teams; assist with loan scenarios and exception research
- Support and coordinate product training for production staff
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in product development, product management, or a similar role within the mortgage or financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of mortgage products, market trends, and regulatory requirements
- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate product performance and identify opportunities
- Proactive approach with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities at once
- Outstanding customer service approach with a collaborative mindset
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in Optimal Blue preferred
