Our client, a large and well‑respected professional services organization with offices across Western Canada, is seeking an experienced Data Insights & Pricing Analyst to join its Finance team. This is far more than a traditional reporting role. The organization is looking for someone who can think strategically, challenge assumptions, influence decision‑making, and bring both strong technical expertise and sound business judgment to the table.
This position plays a critical role in helping the organization better understand profitability, pricing strategies, operational performance, and client needs. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to drive meaningful insights, support pricing strategy, improve reporting capabilities, and contribute to an important pricing system implementation initiative.
This opportunity offers a high level of visibility and impact, making it an excellent fit for someone who enjoys combining technical analytics work with strategic business partnership. This position may be hybrid or remote depending on location and business needs, and is available to candidates based in Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Saskatoon, or Winnipeg.

- Support pricing system implementation including data migration, testing, configuration, and user support
- Develop budgets and alternative fee/pricing arrangements for clients and projects
- Analyze historical financial and operational data to identify profitability trends and pricing opportunities
- Perform sensitivity analysis related to hours, rates, margins, realization, and pricing structures
- Prepare ad‑hoc reporting, dashboards, and financial analysis for leadership
- Support executive presentations, strategic initiatives, and special projects
- Translate complex data into meaningful and actionable business insights
- Partner with Finance, Marketing, HR, IT, Operations, and other business groups
- Support process improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
Help improve reporting transparency, data quality, and internal decision‑making processes
- Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models
- Develop SQL queries and support data transformation initiatives
- Utilize advanced Excel functionality for financial modeling and analysis
- Work with multiple data sources and enterprise systems to support reporting and analytics requirements
- Valid authorization to work in Canada (no sponsorship available)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 6–8 years of experience in financial analytics, business analytics, pricing analysis, or related fields
- Advanced proficiency with SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel/financial modeling
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Ability to present complex information clearly to senior stakeholders and non‑technical audiences
- Experience working with large data sets and translating insights into business recommendations
- CPA, MBA, or other postgraduate designation
- Experience with in a professional services environment such as accounting, legal, consulting, engineering, or similar industries
- Experience working with enterprise financial or operational systems
