As Marqeta’s Director, Go‑To‑Market Strategy & Operations, you will help define the strategy and operations of a best‑in‑class sales force. You will partner with sales executive leadership to turn data into actionable insights and lead internal sales processes and operational activities to maximize sales productivity.

We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remote within the United States or from our Oakland, CA or New York City offices.

Impact You’ll Have
  • Support sales leadership to drive expected weekly cadence for forecasting, pipeline generation, pipeline progression and closing deals
  • Optimize GTM strategy including core sales processes and productivity drivers, infrastructure and automation, regional performance
  • Continually optimize our sales funnel through data, systems, strategy and process—ensuring forecast accuracy and overall pipeline health
  • Drive & support planning efforts covering sales strategy, quota setting, team structure & resourcing and account assignments
  • Provide analytical thought leadership, creating meaningful business insights, implementing strategic operational priorities and developing and allocating key performance metrics
  • Lead annual planning activities, including revenue growth projections and headcount planning
  • Develop and deliver presentations to senior leaders and executives
  • Manage and mentor a team of revenue operations professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning
Who You Are
  • 10+ years of proven experience managing a best‑in‑class, complex Sales Operations function supporting growth in a Fin Tech / modern payments sales environment
  • Outstanding problem‑solving and analytical skills, including talent for conducting research, analyzing data, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations to an executive‑level audience
  • Track record in excellent process design and documentation, ideally including onboarding process optimization in regulated payments organizations
  • Experience successfully managing large‑scale complex projects/programs
  • Ability to not only think strategically, but also follow through in execution and operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an attention to detail
  • A proven ability to develop tactical initiatives that improve sales productivity and performance
  • Self‑starter who can operate independently with minimal supervision
Compensation and Benefits

Marqeta is a Flexible First company that calibrates pay to a competitive value according to working location. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers within the United States:

  • National
    : A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.
  • Premium
    :
    Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost‑of‑living areas, such as Los Angeles, CA and Seattle, WA.
  • Premium Plus
    : A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.

The new‑hire base salary range for this position is:

  • National: $187,000 – $233,800
  • Premium: $202,400 – $253,000
