Mid-Level Grants Management Analyst
Full-Time | Telework

Join a mission-driven organization providing professional grants management support for federal financial assistance programs. The Mid-Level Grants Management Analyst serves in an independent, mid-level capacity, delivering off-site grants management support across the full lifecycle of grants and cooperative agreements. This role is ideal for an experienced grants professional who brings strong regulatory knowledge, analytical skills, and hands‑on experience supporting pre‑award and post‑award activities while ensuring compliance with federal requirements and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities
Grants Management Support
  • Independently support federal grants and cooperative agreement activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, including 2 CFR Part 200.
  • Apply grants management principles, policies, and procedures to support complex grant actions throughout the full lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to program staff and stakeholders on grants-related matters.
Pre‑Award Activities
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs) to ensure clarity, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Review grant and cooperative agreement applications for eligibility, completeness, and adherence to applicable requirements.
  • Conduct budget reviews, cost and price analysis, and funding reasonableness evaluations.
  • Perform risk assessments and document findings in accordance with federal requirements and internal procedures.
  • Prepare pre‑award documentation, analyses, and supporting materials for leadership review and approval.
Post‑Award Administration
  • Support post‑award administration of grants and cooperative agreements, including processing amendments such as budget revisions, schedule changes, and scope modifications.
  • Monitor recipient progress, performance reports, and deliverables to ensure compliance with award terms and objectives.
  • Review reimbursement requests and supporting documentation for allowability, allocability, and reasonableness.
  • Assist with grant and cooperative agreement closeout activities in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.
Systems, Records & Reporting
  • Create, maintain, and update complete and compliant electronic grant files in designated grants management and financial systems.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of grant actions, supporting documentation, and status updates into tracking systems and databases.
  • Support the preparation of reports, summaries, and status updates related to grants management activities.
Policy & Continuous Improvement
  • Assist with interpreting grants-related regulations, policies, and guidance and applying them to program activities.
  • Support the development or updating of standard operating procedures, templates, guidance documents, and training materials related to grants management.
  • Participate in meetings, briefings, and special projects related to grants administration as assigned.
Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any business-related field.
Experience: Minimum four (4) years of direct federal grants and/or federal acquisition experience, including pre‑award and post‑award support. Experience supporting competitive federal grant programs preferred.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Thorough working knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 and federal grants management principles and practices.
  • Experience conducting budget reviews, cost/price analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple grant actions and resolve moderately complex issues.
  • Experience using grants and financial management systems and maintaining compliant electronic award files.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft productivity and collaboration tools; ability to adapt to evolving technology platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear documentation and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
