Associate, Regulatory Affairs – Material Documentation Management, Compliance & Stewardship – Global
Responsible for documentation compliance related to raw material and packaging for product development. This entry‑level, full‑time position is based at the Head Office in Liberty Village and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Pay RangeThe anticipated base salary for this position is $50,000 to $55,000. Exact salary depends on experience, skills, education, and budget. The range may vary by geographic location.
Responsibilities- Manage the documentation component of product development work.
- Request, vet, and organize documents from vendors; create, review, and validate ingredient lists.
- Ensure all raw material and packaging documents are current and meet regulatory requirements.
- Manage documentation to support product claims.
- Develop and implement tracking tools and master spreadsheets to manage raw material and packaging information, ensuring accuracy and consistency and keeping projects on track.
- Support the Regulatory team in the implementation, maintenance, and integration of the product life cycle management (PLM) system, enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, and quality management system (QMS).
- Generate SOPs for regulatory procedures.
- Support brand initiatives such as cruelty‑free and vegan certification and sustainability initiatives.
- Support packaging extended producer responsibilities and retailer inquiries and campaigns.
- Prepare responses for customer inquiries for senior management review.
- Develop and maintain tracking tools for information sourced for responses.
- Relevant education in Regulatory Affairs, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacology, or a related field OR equivalent work experience is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of cosmetic databases such as INCI, PCPC and Cos Ing.
- Familiarity with PLM, ERP, and QMS applications used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or related industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
