The Business Development Manager for South East Asia will play a pivotal role working with our Head of Business Development in driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships and expanding our market presence within the consumer electronics sector. This position requires a dynamic individual who can identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve strategic project objectives.
The successful candidate will help to achieve significant milestones in our overall business strategy, tracking towards success in a competitive landscape.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in South East Asia to drive revenue growth.
- Develop strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for expansion.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align strategies and advise how to enhance offerings.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential customers and partners.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure profitable business deals.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Attend industry events and networking functions to promote the company and its services.
- 5+ years in consumer electronics or a closely related sector across Asia.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- An established network of distributors with real reach across SEA markets.
- Commercial muscle — you've closed deals, managed P&Ls, and hit targets.
- Multi‑channel experience – distributors, traditional retail and e‑commerce.
- Fluent English and ideally proficiency in one or more:
Mandarin, Thai, Bahasa, or Filipino. - The drive to travel, build relationships face‑to‑face, and operate with autonomy.
