Sales Executive – Digital, Technology & Apprenticeships
Location:
Remote (Travel to Derby once per month)
Salary: £38,000 – £42,000

Job
As a Sales Executive, you will play a key role in driving employer engagement, generating new business opportunities, and supporting apprenticeship recruitment across Digital, Technology, and Data programmes.
You will work closely with employers to understand their hiring needs, promote apprenticeship solutions, and connect businesses with talented individuals looking to start or progress their careers within digital industries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers across Digital, IT, Technology, and Data sectors
* Generate new business opportunities through proactive sales activity, networking, and relationship building
* Promote apprenticeship recruitment and workforce development solutions
* Identify employer skills gaps and recommend suitable apprenticeship pathways
* Manage the full recruitment and sales lifecycle from employer engagement through to successful placement
* Source, screen, and match candidates into apprenticeship opportunities
* Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline within digital skills areas
* Support employers with apprenticeship processes, funding information, and recruitment solutions
* Achieve and exceed sales, recruitment, and business development targets
* Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity reporting
* Work collaboratively with internal delivery teams to ensure successful learner onboarding
* Attend monthly team meetings in Derby to collaborate with colleagues
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an ambitious and results-driven Sales Executive, Recruitment Consultant, Business Development Executive, or Employer Engagement professional with experience in apprenticeships, recruitment, or workforce solutions.
You will have:
* Proven experience within sales, recruitment, business development, or apprenticeship engagement
* Experience generating new business and achieving commercial targets
* Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to identify opportunities and convert conversations into successful partnerships
* Experience managing employer accounts and candidate pipelines
* Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
* A proactive, target-driven approach with excellent organisation skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desirable experience:
* Experience working within Digital, Technology, IT, Data, Cyber Security, AI, Software Development, or Digital Marketing sectors
* Knowledge of Apprenticeships, levy funding, training providers, or workforce development
* Previous experience within recruitment or education sales environments
A willingness to travel to Derby once per month is essential.
