Job Description
NANA Construction is seeking a skilled and dependable candidate to assist project managers with civil construction projects and remote gravel pit operations in remote Alaska. Tasks will include tracking crew time, managing multi-sector SWPPP’s, tracking project quantities, logistics, facilitating airport badging, requisitions, and solving any problems that impede smooth operation. This role requires candidates comfortable working long hours in remote locations, extreme weather conditions, and team-oriented job sites.
Responsibilities- Assist managers with requisitions
- Assist managers with crew timecards
- Assist managers tracking quantities on unit price jobs
- Assist managers tracking crew time and equipment on T&M jobs
- Manage multi-sector SWPPP
- Authorized Signer for DOT Airport badges
- Pick up freight from carriers
- Deliver freight/supplies to shop and staging areas for delivery to remote jobsites
- Other duties as assigned
- Perform daily equipment inspections
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, DOT regulations, MSHA regulations, and site-specific requirements
- Work safely in extreme weather and uneven terrain
- Immediately report all incidents/accidents, no matter how small, to their supervisor
- Other duties pertinent to the department or unit’s success may also be assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, or directly related from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years experience managing Multi-Sector SWPPP
- Current AOA or SIDA badge & background check, or ability to pass background check and obtain AOA/SIDA airport badge in Ralph Wein Memorial Airport
- CESCL or ability to obtain a CESCL within first month of employment
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for the past 3 years to be eligible under vehicle insurance policy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew in remote locations
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and adaptability to changing site conditions
- Remote or camp-based work experience preferred
- Advanced skillset with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
