Job Summary
The Sales Account Manager – Food service is responsible for driving profitable growth through new business development and expansion into new and existing accounts within the food service channel. This role is heavily focused on identifying, developing, and commercializing opportunities through broadline food service distributors, national and regional operators, and distributor-enabled customers. The Account Manager will serve as a strategic partner to customers and internal stakeholders, leading the end-to-end sales process from opportunity identification through commercialization.
LocationThis is a remote position. Candidates must be based in the Central or Eastern time zone.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Growth- Drive new business development within the food service channel, with strong emphasis on broadline food service distributors.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Expand penetration through menu and concept opportunities, leveraging market trend analysis and data driven solutions.
- Create and execute customer- specific account plans and strategies.
- Partner with executive team on development and execution of food service go-to-market strategy.
- Serve as primary point of contact for food service customers and distributor partners.
- Build strong relationships with distributor sales and category management teams.
- Drive distributor pull-through and execution.
- Assist in negotiating terms, pricing, expenditures, and contracts.
- Lead product development and commercialization initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercialization, and Finance.
- Support pricing, forecasting, and margin management.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree required - Experience:
5+ years of food service sales or business development experience. Direct experience with broadline food service distributors required. - Technical

Proficient in MS Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Co-Pilot. - Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes within organizations both internally and externally.
- Strong financial acumen and project management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple work streams within deadlines.
- A strong, detail oriented, self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, objection resolution, decision-making, motivation, and organizational skills required.
The pay range for this full-time, salaried position is $85,788-$128,682 per year. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, 401(k) and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
