Position: Category Manager Hybrid Role in Ontario

In this key role, you’ll oversee procurement across various categories for 40 industrial locations. Your responsibilities include managing vendor relationships, conducting strategic sourcing, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. A strong focus on cost savings and budget management will ensure your success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement across multiple service categories

• Oversee the strategic sourcing process effectively

• Control pricing accuracy in Covia’s ERP system

• Develop forecasts and analyze monthly budget variances

• Coordinate dispute resolution with the buyers group
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• Knowledge of MRO or mining industries

• Strong analytical skills and data management

• Excellent negotiation and influencing abilities

• Collaborative approach in a team setting
