The purpose of this role is to manage the efficient processing of licensing and appointments for agents, agencies, and adjusters, ensuring compliance with regulations. The role involves overseeing the end-to-end coordination, monitoring progress, and providing training and mentorship to teammates. Additionally, the role includes auditing and addressing compliance issues to maintain regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Serve as a liaison between licensing and business partners to coordinate appointment initiatives for distribution partners.
- Manage end-to-end licensing and appointment activities for agents and agencies with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Review background investigations for disqualifying factors and recommend appropriate next steps to management.
- Monitor state and federal requirements and update internal processes to maintain compliance and improve efficiency.
- Partner with leadership, legal/compliance, and business stakeholders to resolve licensing issues and support sound decision-making.
- Provide feedback to internal and external IT partners to improve system functionality, data quality, and workflow effectiveness.
- Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and support implementation of operational and system enhancements.
- Develop and execute audit activities with a focus on remediation, coaching, quality improvement, and risk reduction.
- Mentor teammates and help strengthen team knowledge and consistency in licensing practices.
- Coordinate work allocation and quality oversight for shared services or offshore support to help meet service level expectations.
- Contribute to a positive, accountable, and solutions-oriented team environment.
- Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience in insurance licensing, appointments, compliance, or a related regulatory/operational function.
- Knowledge of agent and agency licensing requirements.
- Experience supporting appointment processing and related compliance activities.
- Experience working in a complex organization with multiple stakeholders, systems, and service expectations.
- Experience with audit, quality review, process improvement, or operational controls.
- Experience coordinating or overseeing work performed by shared services or offshore teams.
- Insurance agency, carrier, MGA, brokerage, or regulatory operations experience is helpful.
The hourly range for this role is $29.75 to $44.50 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on the role's complexity, location, and the candidate’s professional background, including education and experience. Full-time and part-time employees are eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
