Senior Business Developer - Sustainable Innovation

We seek a commercially driven Business Developer to turn market opportunities into tangible collaborations and deals.

You will bring TNO innovations to market and scale them across sectors. Your work involves translating research and knowledge into concrete, value‑driven propositions, engaging with the market, building relationships with a wide range of organizations, and converting opportunities into implementations. You will work closely with researchers, fellow developers, and business partners to bridge science and market application.

• Identify and develop commercial opportunities in sectors such as healthcare, education, government, and industry.
• Translate client needs into propositions, business cases, and partnerships.
• Sell and implement TNO tools, methodologies, and interventions.
• Develop revenue models such as licensing, data services, and subscriptions.
• Initiate and build public‑private collaborations and ecosystems.
• Position data‑driven and AI‑based solutions for work and health.

• Strong experience in business development and commercial market development.
• Proven track record in building partnerships and closing deals.
• Skill in translating customer needs into concrete propositions and business cases.
• Affinity with topics such as labor productivity, sustainable employability, skills, and AI.
• Ability to translate complex innovations into practical applications.
• Strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships across public and private sectors.
• Effective engagement with executives, HR, policymakers, and researchers.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.

• Gross monthly salary between €6,000 and €8,000 (based on knowledge and experience).
• 8% holiday pay.
• 13th month bonus of 8.33%.
