Summary:
As a Proposal Writer at Gainwell, you will harness technology to help our clients improve health and well‑being for vulnerable communities. You will write compelling proposal responses that align with Gainwell’s win themes and communicate strategy, vision, and business value.
- Analyze customer RFP requests, review key requirements, and identify issues prior to submission.
- Write and refine proposal responses that accurately describe solutions and strategies.
- Collaborate with senior management, experts, sales/marketing staff, and proposal leadership to implement edits.
- Proofread and perform quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with RFP requirements.
- Coordinate deadlines with the sales organization, SMEs, and leadership for all submittals and follow‑ups.
- Demonstrate understanding of business challenges and how our technology solutions address them.
- Develop proposal attachments such as forms, report packages, flowcharts, implementation schedules, and communication materials.
- Interface with finance to verify pricing.
- Work with the Production Coordinator to produce printed materials and electronic media.
- Maintain the proposal database by sharing new or updated responses.
- Assist other department staff as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple deadlines and work well under extreme pressure.
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
- Understanding of proposal/project management and follow‑through to meet deadlines.
- Ability to articulate and present the business value of our solutions.
- Ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks.
- BA or equivalent experience in Communications, Journalism, or English.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in proposal or business writing in a fast‑paced, strategic environment.
- APMP and PMP certifications are a plus.
- Experience with Medicaid FFS or State Governments is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Adobe Professional, Visio, Project, and RFPIO/Responsive experience is a plus.
- Fully remote (within the U.S.).
- May require up to 10% travel.
- May require evening and weekend work.
Compensation: $90,000.00–$ per year (base pay may vary by region and experience).
