Compensation
$95,000-$125,000 (base). Additional compensation such as bonuses, equity, benefits may not be included.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a full range of cost consulting services to new and existing clients, including a full technical understanding of construction estimation.
- Prepare drawing lists and read blueprints at an advanced level, providing guidance on project statistics and functional areas.
- Complete project descriptions, assumptions, and estimates with a practical understanding of construction methodology.
- Prepare and complete partial/full trade/elemental take‑offs, leveraging trade/product knowledge.
- Understand pricing structures for residential, ICI, and civil projects, as well as M&E systems.
- Analyze general conditions breakdown, change orders, and comparative/tender analysis, and coordinate/deliver estimates using software such as CAD, Excel, CostX, BIM, Digitizer, and PowerPoint.
- Develop and build long‑term client relationships that result in repeat business, referrals, and service expansion, including upsells and cross‑sells across other Business Units.
- Lead the assessment of client requirements, conduct project reviews, and address issues efficiently and effectively.
- Lead the implementation of approved business plans and act as champion for these initiatives within the team.
- Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, mentoring, and support to all direct reports.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS), Member RICS, or Project Management Professional (PMP) is required.
- LEED accreditation is an asset.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in a commercial real estate or related field with a multi‑dimensional understanding of the real‑estate consulting and advisory industry.
- Full and deep understanding of Cost Planning and Project Monitoring services.
- Self‑motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty, and ethics.
- Proven strategic thinking, analytical skills, and strong business acumen, with a focus on business development.
- Client service orientation.
