Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Position
Step into a pivotal role as a Non‑Depository and Securities Compliance Examiner 1 for the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities (DoBS). This position provides hands‑on experience with laws, records, and investigations and supports the compliance office by reviewing information, learning regulations, and assisting with investigations.
Responsibilities- Training participation:
Learn job duties through supervised assignments and on‑the‑job instruction. - Information review:
Examine documents, reports, and statements to research issues and concerns. - Violation assessment:
Assist in identifying potential violations and recommend appropriate actions. - Institution communication:
Support communication with institutions about laws, regulations, and policy interpretations. - Record updating:
Maintain logs, case notes, and system entries to ensure accurate compliance records. - Inquiry support:
Respond to phone and email questions with clear and accurate information.

- Full‑time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch.

Opportunity to work from home part‑time, subject to change; requires a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and an approved Pennsylvania location. - Salary:
Most employees will start at the beginning level of the advertised salary.
- Minimum one‑year post‑secondary credit in accounting, finance, economics, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants may be considered within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
- Must possess and maintain a REAL passport for this position.
- Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
