Job Summary
Associate Director, Operations & Supply Chain (OSC) – Leadership role within the Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Contracts & Supply Chain team. The OSC leads supply chain management for the Product Support (PS) Sub Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) portfolio, overseeing a $750 M business with an experienced team of 35+ Supply Chain Program Management professionals. The position reports directly to the Director of Contracts and Supply Chain for the Product Support SSBU.
Responsibilities- Accountable for OSC cost, schedule, quality, and execution of program deliverables and events tied to assembly, spare, and global systems sustainment.
- Overall management of the Supply Chain Program Management team across the PS portfolio.
- Lead OSC proposal activities, including task descriptions and BOEs—ensuring affordability, defining supply chain scope, supplier sourcing and development, FAR/DFARS compliance and growing team requirements.
- Generate assembly plans, make/where plans, strategic sourcing and execution excellence process improvement plans.
- Partner and align with internal prime sensor program leadership and PS Program Area leads to shape and drive program performance excellence.
- Coordinate and develop OSC requirements for all gate reviews and execute proposed strategies, including experience with Technical Data Package (TDP) reviews.
- Own the Supplier Management process.
- Orchestrate, implement and lead process improvements that result in a healthy value chain to support assembly, production and sustainment programs.
- Use strong business acumen in planning and managing operating budget, schedule and supplier performance.
- Present OSC activities, plans, tasks, and program-level strategic information to internal senior leadership and U.S. Government/commercial customers.
- Lead collaborative cross-functional teams on tactical and strategic discussions/initiatives to drive results and break down barriers.
- Develop and execute sole source and competitive proposals through collaboration with multiple manufacturing and functional teams.
- Travel regularly to Northeast business locations.
- Typical requirement:
University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 12 years relevant experience; alternatively, an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 10 years experience. - Supply Chain or Procurement management experience under direct U.S. Government contracts and programs within the defense industry.
- Strong program management and supply chain experience working on large‑scale Raytheon programs for direct U.S. Government customers.
- Experience interfacing with external DoD customers and all levels of internal leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and manage cross‑functional initiatives.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills to senior leadership.
- Experience in developing and implementing cost reduction/process improvement initiatives.
