As a Pricing Analyst III, you will lead the development and execution of sophisticated pricing strategies for major proposals in the aerospace and defense sector. This role requires advanced analytical skills and extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance to support complex bid proposals and strategic business decisions.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the analysis and interpretation of Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quote (RFQ), and Statements of Work (SOW) documents to ensure compliance.
* Oversee the development and maintenance of proposal schedules, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
* Develop and review complex Cost Volumes in accordance with RFP and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements.
* Validate and approve internal pricing inputs and ensure alignment with approved categories and accounts.
* Prepare, present, and defend pricing strategies and cost proposals to senior management.
* Collaborate with finance, contracts, engineering, and other teams to gather comprehensive proposal information.
* Conduct advanced analysis of historical pricing data, market trends, and competitor pricing.
* Lead internal and external pricing audits, providing detailed documentation and responses.
* Mentor and train junior and mid-level pricing analysts.
* Develop and implement process improvements for the pricing function. Qualifications You Must Have:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 4+ years of experience in pricing analysis or a related role.
* Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience is required.
* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
* Expert knowledge of government contracting regulations and compliance.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
* Experience interpreting considerable data of a technical/programmatic nature.
* Thorough Understanding of research and analysis methods.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to motivate/work with others. Qualifications We Prefer:
* Master's degree in a related field.
* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
* Knowledge of FAR, FAR Supplements, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Government pricing.
* Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) or similar certification.
* Self-starter and a problem solver; must have the ability to see the big picture and implement changes as required.
* Ability to work cross-functionally with both internal and external teams at all levels, including senior leadership in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions:

* Work at a computer for extended periods with hand/finger dexterity for data entry and document handling.
* Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds.
* Ability to travel as needed (up to 20% of the time).
* Work in an office environment with the potential for hybrid or remote work settings. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
