Milliman is seeking a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to work in a fast‑growing department in Omaha.

We offer a unique opportunity combining a flexible local office with the stability of a large national firm.

Responsibilities
  • Market, present, and sell our platform of consulting and underwriting services, especially Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRAs).
  • Build relationships with primary prospects such as health insurance brokers.
  • Work with Health Brokers to present product proposals and expand client referrals.
  • Develop and implement acquisition strategies across various broker segments, leveraging the sales and marketing teams to present products.
  • Communicate client expectations to our staff to ensure the delivery of our services and fees meets or exceeds our client’s expectations.
  • Partner closely with Broker Strategy to leverage platform relationships and drive a feedback loop to enhance our product offerings and ensure attractiveness.
  • Collect feedback from clients and prospective clients to assist with the enhancement of existing products and development of new products.
  • Relationship builders. Create dynamic internal and external relationships.
  • Confident professionals. Maintain 100% accuracy, punctuality, and professionalism in all client communications.
  • Trend‑setters. Innovate based on client feedback to transform health insurance.
  • Future leaders. Invest in skill development and take on expanding responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration or related field.
  • Two years of experience in sales, exceeding targets.
  • Two years of health plan experience.
  • Two years of experience developing call lists, new distribution channels, and cold calling.
  • Two years of insurance experience preferred but not required.
Skills & Abilities
  • Exceptional marketing, networking, and communication skills; friendly, engaging personality.
  • Professional image consistent with Milliman’s consultant role in all correspondence.
  • Ability to work independently within a team‑based consulting environment.
  • Strong skills with Salesforce, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, managing multiple projects.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and provide input on new programs.

Individual(s) must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future.

Location

This position is based out of the Milliman office in Omaha, Nebraska, but may be performed remotely anywhere in the United States with 25‑35% travel.

Compensation

The salary range is $65,200 – $119,830 plus performance‑based commission. For candidates residing in Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia $74,980 – $119,830; all other locations $65,200 – $104,200.
