Vice President, TPA Governance
We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee Safety National’s third‑party administrator (TPA) and self‑administered account relationships across the enterprise. In this highly visible role, you will establish and maintain governance frameworks that ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, contractual accountability, and exceptional customer outcomes. You will collaborate closely with leaders in Claims, Underwriting, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Client Engagement to strengthen partnerships, enhance transparency, and support profitable growth.
Location& Schedule
Qualified candidates residing outside the St. Louis metropolitan area may work remotely or from one of our regional offices. Candidates who reside in the St. Louis area will be required to work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd, Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to sign a Remote Work Agreement and/or follow our Work From Home policy.
Responsibilities• Lead the strategic oversight and governance of TPA and self‑administered account relationships.
• Drive development and execution of governance standards, performance scorecards, analytics, and operational strategies to position Safety National as a market leader in claims administration oversight.
• Modernize governance processes through technology and automation, creating best‑in‑class standards for TPA performance management and accountability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional leaders to strengthen partnerships, enhance transparency, and support profitable growth.
Required:
- Extensive claims experience, including leadership and operational management.
- Experience with self‑insured and large deductible programs.
- Experience leading operational improvement, governance, quality assurance, or similar strategic initiatives.
- Strong relationship management, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience developing governance frameworks, performance metrics, scorecards, and accountability standards for complex operational environments.
- Presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for sponsorship.
Preferred:
- Experience with claims analytics, workflow automation, governance platforms, or data‑driven performance management tools.
- Experience managing TPA relationships within an unbundled claims environment.
- Professional industry designations such as CPCU, AIC, ARM, or similar credentials.
- Experience leading enterprise‑wide governance, operational transformation, or process modernization initiatives.
Primary compensation for this position ranges from $172,000 to $231,500, depending on qualifications and geographic location.
