Regional Sales Manager – East Coast

Our client is an Italian-founded provider of innovative HVAC and air-treatment solutions (air conditioning, heating, dehumidification, and air quality). The U.S. organization supports residential and light-commercial channels with a growing portfolio tailored to North American standards.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on, results-driven Regional Sales Manager to build and scale the company’s presence across Eastern states. You’ll combine hunter new-business activity with channel development and day-to-day account management—working with HVAC/R distributors, rep agencies, contractors, builders, and key retail/e-commerce partners—to deliver sustainable revenue and brand growth.
Key Responsibilities
Territory & Channel Growth
- Build and execute the East Coast go-to-market plan; hit revenue, margin, and distribution goals.
- Identify, recruit, and manage HVAC/R distributors, manufacturer rep firms, and key retail/e-commerce partners.
- Prospect and close new business with mechanical contractors, builders, multi-family owners, hospitality, and specialty dealers.
- Drive specification and approvals with consultants/engineers; support bids and project pipelines.
Account Management
- Own regional key accounts: negotiate listings, pricing, promotions, and program funding.
- Deliver joint business plans, quarterly reviews, and accurate forecasting in CRM.
- Coordinate merchandising, display, and online content with partners to maximize sell-through.
Market Development & Training
- Conduct product demos, counter days, lunch-and-learns, and installer trainings; certify partners.
- Gather market and competitive intelligence; provide feedback to Product/Marketing for localization (packaging, certifications, features).
- Support product launches and utility-rebate initiatives to accelerate adoption.
Operations & Customer Experience
- Collaborate with supply chain, customer service, and technical support to ensure OTIF deliveries, quality, and warranty responsiveness.
- Monitor cost-to-serve, returns, and service KPIs; drive continuous improvement.
Compliance & Brand Representation
- Ensure adherence to pricing policies, brand guidelines, and CRM/reporting standards.
- Represent the company at regional trade shows, distributor events, and industry associations.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of field sales in HVAC/R, residential/light-commercial equipment, or related building-products channels.
- Proven success growing a multi-state territory and managing distributors/rep agencies.
- Strong technical aptitude (ductless/packaged AC, air treatment, heat pump fundamentals); comfortable presenting to designers, contractors, engineers, and buyers
- Working knowledge of U.S. HVAC standards/certifications (e.g., AHRI/DOE/Energy Star) and familiarity with codes/utility rebates.
- Self-starter with excellent negotiation, presentation, and planning skills; disciplined CRM forecasting.
- Willing to travel 50–60% across the East coast.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
